Dr. Kamand Shaibani at Dental Care of Burlington

Kamand B. Shaibani, D.M.D.


Dr. Kamand Shaibani graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). She was a student staff member of the Special Patient Care Clinic at Temple University before joining a private practice. She moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1999. In 2006, she opened Dental Care of Burlington.

Dr. Shaibani has a patient-centered approach to her dentistry. She believes that anxiety can be overcome to help achieve stellar oral health and a great smile. Committed to continuing education, Dr. Shaibani encourages her team to attend seminars and workshops to be up to date on the latest technologies and techniques. She is constantly incorporating these into her practice.

She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, CEREC Doctors, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and participates in a local Spear Study Club with several other colleagues and specialists.

In her free time Dr. Shaibani likes to ride her Honda 150 dirt bike, snow ski, and is an avid fan of country music.



Dr. Patrick McCarty at Dental Care of Burlington

Patrick D. McCarty, D.D.S.


Dr. Patrick D. McCarty is a dental anesthesiologist. He is a graduate of Boston College, the University Of Southern California School of Dentistry and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. McCarty is Board Certified through the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology & the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.

Following graduation from residency, Dr. McCarty practiced anesthesia in the greater San Francisco, CA area. Originally from New England, he relocated back East in 2007, where he now provides mobile office based anesthesia services in many dental offices throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Dr. McCarty's patient population includes both children and adults, especially those who are medically compromised and dental phobic.

Dr. McCarty is a staff anesthesiologist at the Franciscan Children's Hospital in Brighton as well as a clinical assistant professor at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine Department of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a visiting instructor within the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Since 2005, the Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society has annually selected 10 MDS member dentists per year who have been in the profession for 10 years or less and have made a significant contribution to the profession, their community, or organized dentistry. Dr. McCarty was named a recipient of this honor in 2009. Dr. McCarty spends his free time with his wife and daughter going to Celtics games and travelling.



Dr. Paola A. Buckley at Dental Care of Burlington

Paola A. Buckley, DMD, CAGS, DSc.


Dr. Paola Buckley received her DDS from El Bosque University in Bogotá, Colombia in 2000. She practiced as a general dentist in her native Bogota while serving as a Teaching Associate and Researcher in Periodontal Microbiology for her school’s department of Oral Microbiology. Her love for periodontal research brought her to the United States to pursue a research opportunity at the prestigious Forsyth Institute in Boston, MA and later earned her Doctor of Science Degree in Oral Biology at the Boston University, Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2008. During her postdoctoral years, she published several peer-reviewed articles about periodontal disease biology.

But it was her love for patient care and education that motivated her to incorporate her knowledge of the periodontology basic sciences into a fulfilling clinical practice. She dedicated herself into pursuing additional training and completed a two-year specialty program in Clinical Periodontology and Implantology at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and a DMD program designed for international trained dentists at the same University.

Currently, Dr. Buckley is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Predoctoral Periodontology Department at Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she supervises and instructs students in all aspects of periodontal disease and treatment. Dr. Buckley is very passionate about periodontology and dental implantology and is always current on the latest techniques and treatment services. She attends multiple professional meetings throughout the year and is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Hispanic Dental Association. She is committed to providing excellent dental care to all patients.



Dr. Jessy Ajram at Dental Care of Burlington

Jessy Ajram, DMD, DDS, MS.


Dr. Ajram received her DDS in 2006, her MS in Endodontics in 2009, a Certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry in 2009, and her MS in Oral Biology and Biomaterials in 2018 from Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon.

In 2018, Dr. Ajram relocated to Boston to pursue her passion in dentistry. In 2022, she completed her DMD from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Currently, Dr. Ajram holds the position of Clinical Instructor as an Endodontist at the Department of General Dentistry, Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.

Prior to GSDM, Dr. Ajram has practiced as an Endodontist and General Dentist in Lebanon. She was appointed as Clinical Instructor in the Pre-doctoral Endodontic Treatment Center at Saint Joseph University.

Dr. Ajram is dedicated in providing excellent patient care to all her patients.



Dr. Mota at Dental Care of Burlington

Rey Mota, D.M.D.


Dr. Mota was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, however for the past 12 years has resided in the City of Boston. He earned a B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Master's in Biomedical Science from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Mata's passion for dentistry motivated him to continue his education and obtain his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

He is dedicated to dentistry and strives to stay up to date with the latest techniques and procedures. Dr. Mota enjoys working with the adult and pediatric population and values building meaningful relationships, working hard to meet patients' dental needs.

Outside of work, Dr. Mota enjoys hiking, cooking, spending time with family, and snowboarding.
